‘Best In Show’ as Art Director in AdLab | 2009

Team awarded ‘Best In Show’ by AdLab‘s executive board, a student-run advertising agency, for work produced for the Boston University Office of Sustainability. Working as an art director and teaming with copywriter, Caitlin McGowen, we designed the above teaser campaign for the launch of a new website, www.bu.edu/sustainability.

The concept of our teaser campaign was to have real, eye-catching garbage in a display case removed every couple of days to reveal the resulting poster behind. Reusing garbage was both sustainable and surprising. We also designed general recycling posters (below). The photography used in the ads was by me.

The REUSE campaign was the result of an endless number of concepts. Below you’ll see roughs of the other ideas.

Headlines read: Easier than remembering your “birthday.” | Easier than remembering all the rules. | Easier than losing the freshman 15. | Easier than the walk of shame.
